Joy and sadness always go hand in hand; life itself is a complicated mix of emotional ups and downs. Sometimes, however, it may seem as though we constantly have to face the loss of somebody or something we love and care for, and the only thing we can do is grieve. These emotions are normal and understandable. Grief can break people up inside, make them feel depressed, exhausted and deeply hurt; it can even turn them to thoughts of self-destruction and put them on very dangerous pathways. The grief support course will make you capable of providing support for those who grieve; to assist them on their recovery right from the start. You will learn about techniques for emotional approaches used for grief support; you will gain significant and practical knowledge of the grieving process and about active involvement in the steps of healing. The grief support course will help you to help people to open up, share their feelings and live a positive life after their personal or professional loss. From your family members and friends to clients who ask for guidance and advice, you will become a fully capable and trusted ally to help the bereaved overcome their grief and find their balance.

  • We will teach you both the theory and the practical information
  • We will take you by the hand from day one. The basic theories are explained and go hand in hand with practical, hands on information. By understanding the theoretical basics you know better what to do. And the practical information in the lessons will help you how to help. Within months you are able to guide people who are in a grieving situation and help them the right way.

  • Our grief support teacher will provide you with valuable personal advice and answer all your questions promptly
  • When you are learning how to support a grieving person it is good to get the confirmation that you are doing it the right way. You would like to know if you are on the right track. You would like to get dedicated, personal advice on the practical case studies you made. And if you happen to be stuck or do not understand something you would like to ask for help. This personal help is given by our personal teacher, who offers grief support. The majority of the students decide to sign up for the grief support classes and hire the services of a personal teacher. Students who do so are allowed to ask for advice, questions and hand in case studies for grading. Students who choose for self-tuition take on the course by themselves. They cannot ask for advice, questions nor can they hand in case studies for grading.

You have one year access to the lms, but this can be increased upon request. You also do not have to worry that other students are faster or slower than you are. You decide your pace and you do not have to worry about others.
You can access the lms with your desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet. This means that you are fully flexible with which device you would like to take the grief support classes. Furthermore this means that you can also study wherever it suits you, whenever it suits you. You only need access to the internet.
You will be able to conveniently print the individual lessons in case you prefer to read the lessons on paper.
